The International Mac Podcast
The International Mac Podcast. IMP is a network of podcasts (or shows) all about topics relating to Mac and all the goodies that come from Apple. We also have a great blogging team and are trying to develop a real international Mac community. I’m one of the Executive Producers of the network and co-founded the project with my good friend Chris Wall.
My Setup
Over the years I’ve built up a fair bit of podcasting gear, I started off with the Blue Snowball, which is a nice USB mic, although I now prefer and recommend the Samson CO1U for those wanting to starting in podcasting. I migrated to an Alesis MultiMix12 FireWire mixer with a MXL-990 condenser microphone, which served me well for a fair while until I needed a more portable rig, mainly for the IMP Live in New York and Los Angeles trips back in early 2009. I then ‘upgraded’ to a M-Audio FastTrack Ultra interface, quite frankly it’s a piece of junk, I’ve had it fail on me twice in a year and it produces some really nasty noise on the pre-amps, avoid M-Audio gear at all costs!
So that brings me onto my current podcasting setup…
